The large sheep-grazing property Connorville near Cressy was established by Roderic O'Connor in 1824, and is still owned by the current Roderic O'Connor. The house was rebuilt in 1924 but the fascinating outbuildings remain. Roderic O'Connor was Governor Arthur's Inspector of Roads and Bridges, and this all-day bus excursion takes us to Connorville via his activities: the Midlands Highway, the Bridgewater causeway, the Ross Bridge. The excursion will be on Sunday 23 October and a tentative estimate of the cost is $60 for the day.
