Caroline Homer is manager of the State Library and Archive Service, which is responsible for providing access to Tasmania’s archive, heritage and reference collections. She is a librarian and archivist who is passionate about making Tasmania’s historic collections easily discoverable, accessible and well used and in doing so, aims to support THRA to achieve its objective ‘to promote research into and publication of Tasmanian history.’ Caroline’s participation on the Committee continues a long association between the Tasmanian Archives and THRA. She joined THRA in 2008 and was immediately elected to the Committee before being elected President, a role she continues to fill, in 2010.
